Force Windows to display Stop Error information on Blue Screen
If you have been unlucky (or should I say lucky) enough to meet a Blue Screen on your Windows 11, Windows x, Windows eight.1 or Windows viii computer, you may take noticed that they now announced to exist more convenient, simpler, and easier on the eyes.
The message usually is elementary and to the point. You take a deplorable emoticon and a simple message stating:
Your PC ran into a problem that it couldn't handle and now information technology needs to restart. You can search for the error online.
The system does not display detailed Terminate fault data. This behavior is by design in Windows 8 and Windows Server 2022 because it makes the blue screen cleaner.
Force Windows to brandish more information on Blueish Screen
But if you want the End fault data and details to be displayed – possibly to facilitate troubleshooting, practice the following.
Open Registry Editor and navigate to the post-obit key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\CrashControl
Click Edit > New > DWORD (32-flake) Value. Type DisplayParameters in the Name field then press Enter. Now right-click DisplayParameters > Alter.
In the Value data box, blazon 1, and and so click OK. The values are equally follows:
- 0 – Do not brandish the Terminate error data
- 1 – Display the Stop error information
Exit the registry editor and restart the computer for the changes to take effect.
The next time you get a Bluish Screen, you will see the detailed Stop fault information.
Now read: Windows Stop Errors or Bluish Screens Guide and Resources.
And well, in a lighter vein, if you want you may download the Bluish Screen screen saver!
